Position Overview:
As a Histology Specialist II, you will integrate your expertise, theoretical knowledge, and practical skills to execute laboratory procedures effectively.

Your advanced training and education will enable you to maintain proficiency in all histology practices, performing both pre-analytic and post-analytic procedures on biological specimens. This work is essential in assisting healthcare providers with the diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of diseases.

Responsibilities may include the receipt, preparation, archival/retrieval of specimens/materials, along with validation testing and troubleshooting issues as outlined by departmental protocols.

As a vital member of our laboratory team, you will collaborate with physicians, clients, and colleagues to ensure exceptional patient care while representing the laboratory with professionalism, courtesy, and respect.

Job Description:

EDUCATION
High School Diploma or General Education (GED)

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
1 year of recent relevant experience.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge/Skills:
Demonstrated advanced knowledge and technical proficiency in specimen collection, preparation, laboratory operations, and quality assurance in histology.

Quantity of Work:
Ability to organize and prioritize job responsibilities and tasks to meet expected deadlines.

Quality of Work:
Ability to perform job duties accurately, precisely, and reliably, demonstrating sound judgment and problem-solving skills relevant to assigned responsibilities.

The pay range for this role is $49.23 to $61.53 per hour. This range may vary based on location and other factors, including experience, education, skills, licensure, and organizational needs.
