Medication Access Specialist

Adecco is collaborating with a prominent healthcare organization in the Bay Area to recruit a **Medication Access Specialist**. This is a full-time role with varying shift start times. The compensation for this position ranges from $30 to $40 per hour, based on experience.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Manage prescription Prior Authorization claims and address medication access challenges on behalf of hospitalist providers.
+ Liaise with insurance companies to secure prior authorizations for medications prescribed by hospitalist providers.
+ Investigate and resolve denied prior authorization claims effectively.
+ Act as a primary contact for patients, providers, and insurance companies regarding the status of prior authorizations and medication access issues.
+ Coordinate with retail pharmacies to facilitate medication access for patients.
**REQUIREMENTS:**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
+ Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA), or Case Manager (CCM) is preferred.
+ A minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare environment, ideally in a role focused on prescription prior authorizations and claims resolution.
**Compensation for this position ranges from $30.00 to $40.00 per hour based on experience.**
