Customer Support Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Handles and prioritizes incoming calls in a busy call center environment.
- Provides assistance to patients and caregivers with a variety of inquiries while ensuring timely support to all callers.
- Processes and forwards patient requests to the relevant clinical personnel promptly.
- Inputs patient data into the electronic health records (EHR) system accurately.
- Identifies and escalates intricate issues to the Call Center Team Lead or Manager for further assistance.
- Keeps current with physician and provider schedules, clinic updates, and office protocols.
- Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Preferred: 2 years of experience in medical office administration.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to perform tasks efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced setting with frequent interruptions.
- Demonstrated capacity to analyze information and resolve complex issues.
- Capability to work independently while effectively managing time and workload.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures, as well as knowledge of health insurance practices and/or medical billing processes is preferred.
- Experience with medical scheduling and billing systems is advantageous.
- Exceptional customer service skills, along with strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in electronic records systems is preferred, with strong data entry skills and a typing speed of at least 45 wpm.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Preferred: 2 years of experience in medical office administration.
