Job Overview

Position Summary:

We are in search of a driven and enthusiastic Territory Sales Specialist for the Northeast Ohio region. This role involves the development, management, and provision of sales support within the designated market area. The market includes a variety of clients such as small cabinet and woodworking shops, kitchen dealers, larger OEMs, and wholesale distributors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting product demonstrations and providing training and technical assistance.
  • Engaging in sales prospecting and managing customer relationships.
  • Performing customer sales calls and offering distribution sales support.
  • Monitoring market trends and adjusting strategies to meet sales objectives.
  • Analyzing competitor offerings to enhance product presentations and sales strategies.
  • Contributing to marketing strategies based on market knowledge and future projections.
  • Formulating product plans and strategies for key accounts.
  • Maintaining comprehensive customer profiles for key distributors and OEM accounts.
  • Training distributor staff on product features, benefits, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Addressing and resolving customer complaints related to sales and service.
  • Preparing detailed plans for customer visits.
  • Collaborating with the Manufacturer's Regional Sales Manager for semi-annual reviews and effective territory planning.
  • Generating reports on travel, expenses, and customer interactions.
  • Representing our manufacturers at trade shows to promote products and strengthen business relationships.
  • Advising distributors on operational policies to enhance business effectiveness.
  • Assisting distributor sales teams with promotional tools and techniques.
  • Conducting regular visits to current and potential customers to assess needs and demonstrate product benefits.
  • Following up on orders to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Updating product forecasts with major accounts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or marketing is preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, CRM systems, and email communication.
  • Experience in the woodworking industry is advantageous.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in team settings as well as independently.
  • Strong teaching abilities and technical aptitude are essential.
  • Commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Flexibility in adapting behavior to effectively engage with others.
  • Organizational, analytical, and detail-oriented skills are required.
  • Capability to influence others while being attuned to their needs.

Compensation:
