Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Procurement Specialist to join our team at Ultimate Staffing. This role is essential in optimizing our purchasing operations and ensuring that our procurement processes align with our organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute procurement strategies that effectively meet the company's purchasing requirements in a timely and economical manner.
  • Evaluate potential suppliers and perform vendor assessments to confirm adherence to quality and compliance benchmarks.
  • Engage in contract negotiations with suppliers, addressing pricing, delivery schedules, and quality standards.
  • Oversee the procurement workflow, which includes creating purchase orders, tracking orders, managing contracts, and coordinating delivery timelines.
  • Work collaboratively with various departments to ensure purchasing activities support business objectives.
  • Assess supplier performance and devise enhancement plans when necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory and quality standards within the industry.
  • Stay informed about market trends, pricing, and supply chain changes to uncover opportunities for cost reduction and process enhancement.
  • Foster and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders, both within and outside the organization.
  • Provide comprehensive quarterly reports to the Senior Leadership Team regarding procurement activities.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in the medical device sector.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to leverage data for informed decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building and maintaining stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to interpret product specifications and drawings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations and ISO standards is preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is advantageous.
  • Ability to develop data analysis tools and spreadsheets for effective data management.
  • In-depth knowledge of the procurement process for complex assemblies with multi-level BOMs in a regulated setting.

  • Expertise in sourcing strategies, RFQ management, cost analysis, and problem-solving.
