Job Summary

As a compassionate and skilled LPN, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver short-term treatment and stabilization services, preventing hospitalization and promoting access to ongoing care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and indirect client care, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act, professional standards of care, and Helen Ross McNabb Center policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate and complete health care records, including nurse admission notes, vital signs, and CSSRS
  • Obtain client vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, respiration, oxygen saturation, breath alcohol level, and urine drug screen
  • Provide routine nursing care, including wound care and medication administration
  • Collaborate with the EMPATH team to ensure quality care and promote client safety
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to infection-control policies and protocols
  • Participate in supervision, training, and orientation of new personnel

Qualifications

  • Current LPN license in Tennessee
  • Excellent knowledge of medical terminology and clinical skills
  • Critical thinking skills and ability to multitask
  • Knowledge of infection control, physiological knowledge, and medication administration
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Compassionate and able to handle stress, with excellent attendance and punctuality
