Job Summary

The Helen Ross McNabb Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Crisis Intervention Team. As an LPN, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals experiencing mental health crises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and indirect client care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, professional standards of care, state regulations, and accreditation standards.
  • Conduct initial assessments, develop care plans, and implement interventions to address client needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Administer medications, perform vital signs, and provide wound care as needed.
  • Document client information accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Adhere to infection control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
Requirements
  • Current LPN license in Tennessee.
  • Excellent knowledge of medical terminology, clinical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Critical thinking skills, knowledge of infection control, and physiological knowledge.
  • Ability to administer medications, work effectively in a team environment, and multitask.
  • Compassionate and able to handle stress, with stamina and physical endurance.
  • Observational skills, knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules, and ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
