Overview:

The Graduate Programs Coordinator is accountable for overseeing the management of graduate student initiatives, including recruitment, admissions, academic guidance, and student retention strategies. This role may involve supervising both staff and student employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Administers and manages graduate student initiatives and procedures, encompassing recruitment strategies, admission protocols, academic counseling, and student retention efforts.
  2. Creates and executes marketing and recruitment plans aimed at attracting and retaining qualified graduate candidates.
  3. Provides guidance to students and faculty on matters related to recruitment, admissions, academic progress, degree completion, professional development, and career readiness.
  4. Interprets, administers, and communicates institutional policies and procedures to students, faculty, and staff.
  5. Establishes collaborative relationships with internal departments and external stakeholders, including community colleges, educational institutions, and industry partners.
  6. Evaluates the effectiveness of graduate programs, prepares analytical reports, and offers recommendations for improvements as necessary.
  7. Acts as a liaison between the Graduate School and faculty, administrators, and students.
  8. Manages scholarship and fellowship programs and their associated processes.
  9. Reviews financial allocations for graduate programs and makes informed decisions regarding expenditures.

May also conduct training sessions and presentations for graduate students. Performs additional job-related responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree coupled with three years of relevant experience is required.

Applicants should possess a comprehensive understanding of both theoretical and practical elements of an analytical, technical, or professional field; or foundational knowledge across multiple professional disciplines. This expertise is typically acquired through a formal, directly job-related four-year degree from an accredited institution or equivalent specialized training pertinent to the work being performed. A minimum of three (3) years of directly related professional experience is essential.
