We are seeking exceptional individuals to join our Energy Trading Graduate Program (ETGP). This program is designed to cultivate future trading professionals within our organization.

The Energy Trading Graduate Program offers a structured pathway over 2-4 years for talented candidates to evolve into proficient traders. While prior trading experience is not a prerequisite, candidates should possess relevant professional experience. The program is adaptable based on individual backgrounds and can be expedited for those with applicable skills. Participants will rotate through various functions, including trading operations, risk management, and market analysis, culminating in supervised trading activities.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities will vary depending on the specific rotation, with examples including:
  • Coordinating shipping operations and liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including inspectors and trading partners.
  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of trading risks, including market, counterparty, and operational risks, and learning effective risk management strategies.
  • Gaining insights into commodity markets and mastering analytical tools to inform trading decisions.
  • Collaborating with Shell assets to optimize value across the supply chain.
  • Engaging with global teams to identify and capitalize on arbitrage opportunities.
  • Learning to execute both physical and paper trades under the guidance of experienced traders.
  • Acquiring skills to formulate trading strategies and establish trading frameworks.

Candidate Profile

Applicants must have the legal right to work in the US on a full-time basis. A Bachelor's degree or higher is required, along with a minimum of three years of experience in Market Risk, Commercial Operations, Quantitative Analysis, or similar roles within the financial services sector.
