Our global trading team is focused on maximizing profitability across the Phillips 66 value chain by managing strategic commodity transactions and responding swiftly to market dynamics. Commercial team members collaborate globally to optimize assets and enhance performance by gathering market intelligence, managing risks, fostering external relationships, and developing innovative supply chain solutions. Supported by our integrated marine and surface transportation and logistics teams, our organization capitalizes on market opportunities, thereby increasing returns for Phillips 66.

Potential roles include market analyst, trading desk analyst, logistics coordinator, marine operations and chartering, scheduler, business development, and commodity trader.

KATALYST is a premier energy commodity supply and trading development program tailored for market-savvy university graduates. KATALYST associates undergo a brief yet dynamic immersion into the Phillips 66 energy value chain, leading to targeted roles aimed at acquiring knowledge, influencing the business, and building valuable relationships for a rewarding career. Associates benefit from networking opportunities, career coaching, and exposure to senior leadership.

The KATALYST program is founded on the principle that Knowledge combined with Application leads to career Transformation. The curriculum emphasizes our core businesses and markets, featuring asset tours, case studies, discussions with subject matter experts, focused analysis assignments, and networking opportunities with key management.

Upon completing the immersion phase, KATALYST associates are assigned to their first role within the Commercial organization. The duration of assignments is based on business needs and individual performance, providing experiential learning, networking, career coaching, and management exposure while developing professional and market acumen. Associates acquire transferable skills applicable across various sectors within the Phillips 66 energy value chain, paving the way for an exciting career.

Requirements for Phillips 66 University Graduates:

Basic/Required:
  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Mathematics/Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or a Master's degree in Economics, Finance, or MBA
  • Graduation date prior to specified deadlines
  • Willingness to work at headquarters
Preferred:
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Previous internship or co-op experience in a related field
  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Availability for specified reporting dates
