As a leading supplier of finished lubricants in the United States, Phillips 66 Lubricants specializes in the production and marketing of premium base oils and advanced formulations across three lubricant brands: Phillips 66, Kendall Motor Oil, and Red Line Synthetic Oil. These brands, alongside our partnerships with various private-label and original-equipment manufacturers in North America, position Phillips 66 prominently in all major lubricant markets. Our offerings span diverse sectors including automotive, trucking, agriculture, aviation, power generation, mining, construction, and emerging energy solutions. Phillips 66 Lubricants operates seven lubricant manufacturing facilities in the U.S., supported by proprietary research and development centers and a robust distribution network.

Upon receiving a full-time position with Phillips 66, you will be enrolled in the KATALYST program, a premier development initiative focused on energy commodity supply and trading for market-savvy university graduates. KATALYST participants undergo a dynamic immersion into the Phillips 66 energy value chain, followed by two targeted roles aimed at acquiring knowledge, influencing business outcomes, and fostering relationships that will support a rewarding career. Participants will also benefit from networking opportunities, career coaching, and access to senior leadership.

The KATALYST program is founded on the principle that Knowledge combined with Application results in career Transformation. The curriculum emphasizes our core businesses and markets, featuring: Asset tours; Case studies; Engaging discussions and presentations with subject matter experts; Focused analytical assignments; Networking opportunities with key management; Presentation chances to business leaders.

Upon completing the immersion phase, KATALYST participants will be assigned to their initial role within the Lubricants division in Houston, TX. The duration of assignments will depend on business requirements and individual performance. These assignments provide experiential learning, networking, career coaching, and management exposure, while enhancing professional and market knowledge. Participants acquire transferable skills relevant to our Marketing, Lubricants, Specialties, Value Chain and Optimization, and Risk divisions, paving the way for an exciting career across the Phillips 66 energy landscape. The program aims to identify and guide high-performing individuals toward their optimal career paths.

Requirements for a Phillips 66 University Graduate:

Basic/Required:
  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Mathematics/Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or a Master's degree in Economics, Finance, or MBA
  • Graduation date prior to specified deadlines
  • Willingness to work at the Houston, TX headquarters
Preferred:
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Previous internship or co-op experience in a related field
  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Availability to start on specified dates
