Legend Biotech is currently seeking a Vice President of Strategic Partnerships to join our dynamic Business Development team located in Somerset, New Jersey.
Position Summary
As a leader in Cell Therapy, Legend Biotech is expanding its Business Development division and is in search of a proactive business development expert to become part of our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Business Development team to pinpoint target opportunities and organizations for inbound and outbound initiatives.
- Engage closely with our global R&D teams, playing a crucial role in enhancing Legend's product pipeline.
- Participate in activities such as attending significant partnering and therapeutic area conferences to stay updated on new scientific advancements and to cultivate professional relationships.
- Lead internal due diligence processes.
- Work in tandem with other essential functions to outline deal structures.
- Support transaction leads during business negotiations.
- Advocate for licensing and collaboration opportunities with Legend's management.
- A PhD in biological sciences is mandatory.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in business development within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors is highly desirable.
- A solid foundation in cell biology and/or immunology is essential.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in the drug development lifecycle.
- Expertise in cell therapy is required.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams with a successful track record in business development.
- Prior involvement in business development searches and due diligence activities is preferred.
- Experience in business development transactions is an advantage.
