Job Summary:

Pella Doors and Windows of Northern California is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Trade Representative to join our team. As a Commercial Trade Representative, you will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with builders, contractors, architects, trade organizations, and homeowners in Northern California and Northern Nevada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the construction industry
  • Generate high-volume, profitable sales within your market
  • Stay up-to-date with industry codes, trends, and requirements
  • Represent Pella Doors and Windows at company-sponsored events, trade association meetings, and consumer shows
  • Perform product demonstrations for remodeling, new construction, and residential projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • Learn and understand how Pella products are installed properly and in accordance with recommended guidelines of the manufacturer
  • Generate own leads and follow up on leads generated by Manager reports, Pella Corporation, and window store generated proposals

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of outside sales experience
  • Customer service and public relations skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Organizational skills, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Conflict negotiation skills
  • Ability to be mobile and occasionally lift/move up to 40lbs
  • Fully insured and functional automobile
  • Reside in the market specified in the advertisement

Desired Skills:

  • Prior knowledge of general construction application and terminology
  • Prior knowledge of Window and Door application or components and terminology
  • Excellent organizational skills, self-guided, and outstanding follow-up
