Role Overview...

As a Café Barista and Bartender, your main responsibility will be to prepare and serve a diverse selection of coffee, pastries, and alcoholic beverages. You will also manage the cash register and handle all financial transactions. Additionally, you will support the KC Café team during special events, ensuring the success of the café operations.

Position Title: Café Barista and Bartender

Reports To: Sales/Retail Operations

Compensation: $15 - $18.50

Your Responsibilities...

As a Café Barista and Bartender, your key duties will include:
  • Preparing cookies and other menu items while serving beverages throughout the day.
  • Enhancing café sales by being approachable, delivering exceptional service, and utilizing suggestive selling techniques.
  • Meeting established sales goals on a monthly basis.
  • Identifying new opportunities to boost business.
Additional responsibilities include:
  • Following all Standard Operating Procedures and Role Responsibilities.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the KC Café by completing daily tasks in accordance with health standards.
  • Ordering and managing inventory of beverages and glassware using a first-in, first-out method.
  • Ensuring quality control regarding product temperature and service.

  • Education & Experience:
    • High school diploma preferred
    • 1 to 3 years of experience in food service preferred
  • Work Environment & Schedule:
    • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
    • Full-time (40 hours/week) or Part-time (32 hours/week)
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift over 20 lbs.
    • Tasks may include bending, reaching, and cleaning the café.
    • Prolonged standing and/or walking required.
    • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Technology Skills:
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
    • Experience with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
  • Certifications:
    • ServSafe Certification preferred but not mandatory
    • Valid Florida Driver's License required
