Position Overview

The Beverage Service Specialist is tasked with maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the bar, kitchen, and food preparation zones. This role requires adherence to TIPs training for verifying identification and crafting as well as serving alcoholic drinks to patrons.

Safe food handling and service protocols must be observed, collaborating closely with the food and beverage supervisor and sales personnel to meet the needs of meeting rooms and catering services.

Compliance with all licensing and regulatory standards is essential.

Work Schedule and Expectations

This role may be offered as either full-time or part-time. Full-time roles come with eligibility for benefits. The operational requirements of this position necessitate flexibility in shift days, start times, and weekly hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure sanitation of the bar, kitchen, and food preparation areas.
  • Consistently adhere to safe food handling and service practices.
  • Collaborate with the food and beverage supervisor and sales staff to cater to meeting rooms and events.
  • Identify and rectify any safety hazards during the work shift.
  • Manage the collection and cleaning of dirty dishes and glasses throughout the shift.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment and understanding chemical safety labels.
  • Oversee both bar and food service setup and breakdown.
  • Ensure food presentation aligns with Lexima standards.
  • Maintain attentiveness at the bar, regularly checking in with guests.
  • Address catering needs for meeting rooms, frequently consulting with the designated contact person.
  • Operate juice and milk machines, commercial refrigerators and freezers, dishwashers, and vacuum cleaners.
  • Keep the kitchen organized and clean.
  • Promptly wash dirty dishes.
  • Restock necessary items during service hours.
  • Monitor food and bar inventories, maintaining appropriate levels and conducting grocery shopping as needed.
  • Adhere to Lexima compliance standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Participate in all-employee meetings, events, and functions as required by management.
  • Process guest purchases and follow cash handling protocols.
  • Familiarize oneself with all policies, hotel rules, and terminology.
  • Attend meetings as mandated by management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
