Position Overview:
As a vital member of our team, the Server Assistant/Busser plays a crucial role in ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests at American Social. This position requires a commitment to our core values and a passion for exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Embrace and promote the vision and core values of American Social.
  • Create memorable moments for guests through attentive service.
  • Arrive on time and prepared for each shift.
  • Adhere to all image and appearance standards.
  • Maintain a positive attitude while delivering outstanding service.
  • Prepare and clean tables for incoming guests.
  • Communicate effectively with Hosts and Managers regarding table updates and needs.
  • Assist in maintaining the restaurant by stocking supplies and ensuring a clean, organized environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to support both front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
  • Be flexible and willing to assist in various departments as needed.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
  • Follow the guidance of Managers on duty.
  • Refill non-alcoholic beverages as required.
  • Ensure company restrooms meet cleanliness standards.
  • Maintain high levels of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas.
  • Efficiently pre-bus and reset tables within a three-minute timeframe.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Availability for late-night shifts, potentially until 3 AM.
  • Adhere to assigned scheduled shifts.
  • Food handling certification is a plus.
  • Fluency in English, with the ability to speak, read, and write effectively.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, speed, and accuracy in job functions.
  • Ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Capable of remaining in a stationary position for up to four hours during shifts.
  • Effectively communicate with guests, management, and co-workers.
  • Must be available to work on weekends and holidays.
