Position Overview

The Beverage Service Specialist is accountable for maintaining cleanliness in the bar, kitchen, and food preparation areas. This role requires adherence to TIPs training for verifying identification and crafting and serving drinks to patrons.

They will implement safe food handling and service protocols while collaborating with the food and beverage supervisor and sales personnel to cater to meeting rooms and event requirements.

Compliance with all licensing and regulatory standards is essential.

Job Type and Work Schedule

This role may be offered as either full-time or part-time. All full-time roles are eligible for benefits. The operational needs of this position necessitate flexible shift patterns, including varying days, start times, and hours worked weekly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure cleanliness in the bar, kitchen, and food preparation areas.
  • Adhere to safe food handling and service practices consistently.
  • Collaborate closely with the food and beverage supervisor and sales team to support meeting room services, catering events, and other requirements.
  • Maintain safety throughout the work shift by identifying and addressing any hazards.
  • Collect and sanitize dirty dishes and glasses during shifts.
  • Follow all Lexima/Brand safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment and understanding chemical safety labels.
  • Manage both bar and food service setup and breakdown.
  • Ensure food presentation aligns with Lexima/Brand standards.
  • Remain attentive at the bar and frequently check in with guests.
  • Address meeting room catering needs, regularly communicating with the designated contact person.
  • Operate juice and milk dispensers, commercial refrigerators and freezers, dishwashers, and vacuum cleaners.
  • Keep the kitchen organized and clean.
  • Wash dirty dishes promptly.
  • Restock necessary items during service hours.
  • Monitor food and bar inventories, maintaining appropriate stock levels; conduct grocery shopping as needed.
  • Adhere to Lexima/Brand compliance standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Participate in all-employee meetings, events, and other functions as required by management.
  • Process guest purchases and follow cash handling procedures.
  • Familiarize oneself with all policies, hotel rules, and terminology.
  • Attend meetings as required by management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Work Environment

This position is situated within a hotel, primarily working in the kitchen or restaurant/bar area.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Food handling certification as required by local regulations.
  • TIPs training preferred (Training will be provided).
  • Prior bartending experience is advantageous.
  • Hands-on experience with cashier responsibilities.
  • Strong focus on cleanliness and safety.
  • Patience and a customer-centric approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly demeanor.
  • Fluency in English is required.
