Job Title: Territory Sales Manager

SPT Labtech is seeking a highly organized and proactive Territory Sales Manager to join our team in the South San Francisco region. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our liquid handling and sample management product lines into the genomics, protein crystallization, and drug discovery markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and develop the sales of SPT Labtech's liquid handling and sample management product lines in the assigned territory.
  • Manage all pre-sale activities until purchase order and support post-sales activities.
  • Work closely with sales specialists, support, product management, and marketing teams to achieve sales goals.
  • Schedule and conduct product presentations and demonstrations to customers.
  • Achieve the following key objectives:
    • Develop a deep understanding of SPT Labtech's company history, culture, strategy, and products.
    • Effectively manage the customer database and propose a global sales strategy based on quantifiable objectives.
    • Organize work time according to priorities defined to achieve personal and company goals.
    • Respect and implement the priorities of the company and markets covered.
    • Ensure the development and follow-up of all opportunities by balancing different product lines and managing efficient sales collaboration with product specialists.
    • Build a consultative relationship and become a trusted advisor with customers through a structured commercial approach based on information accumulation.
    • Position SPT solutions in relation to end-users' workflows and explain the benefits of proposed solutions using all available communication tools.
    • Have a perfect command of products and services programs and propose a global solution by cross-selling our product range.
    • Maintain application knowledge at an optimal level by relying on support functions.
    • Be responsible for CRM data and management.

About You:

  • You will be located in the San Francisco area to contribute to the smooth running of our sales and business operations with an established network across the area.
  • Extensive experience in a capital equipment sales role in the Life Sciences Market with experience selling automated liquid handling technologies or familiarity with lab automation solutions.
  • An undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification in a Life Science discipline, a background in Genomics or Protein Crystallography is advantageous.
  • Excited by significant travel (up to 50%) over the region and based near a convenient travel hub.
  • Familiar with CRM use as a central sales tool. Experience with Salesforce would be desirable.
  • Proven success and ability to develop business.
  • Ability to conduct presentations in front of varying audiences.
  • Autonomous, team player, and capable of working remotely.
