MATERIALS MANAGEMENT SUPERVISOR (LAUNCH VEHICLE)

This position serves as a leadership role within the Materials Management division, overseeing the operations of our teams. Our objective is to establish ourselves as a frontrunner in supply chain management, emphasizing exceptional customer service, rapid response times, and precise inventory management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise an hourly workforce by evaluating employee performance, offering constructive feedback, mediating conflicts, and implementing corrective actions or performance improvement plans as necessary.

• Lead by example, actively seeking feedback from all organizational levels, and inspiring your team to achieve outstanding results.

• Monitor and enhance operational processes, ensuring a safe work environment with a target of zero OSHA recordable incidents annually.

• Ensure adherence to business practices that guarantee quality processing of products while meeting AS9100 standards and customer requirements.

• Oversee the acceptance, storage, and issuance of various parts and hardware into inventory.

• Manage operations that deliver industry-leading customer service, adapting to the evolving needs of the business.

• Identify and lead cost-saving initiatives by recognizing internal and external optimization opportunities.

• Ensure compliance with cycle counting procedures to meet internal and external audit standards.

• Assist in managing a fleet of vehicles, ensuring necessary maintenance and enhancements are performed to meet customer needs.

• Drive projects and initiatives that contribute to the continuous improvement of materials management.

• Ensure compliance with shelf-life storage procedures and maintain proper stock rotation (FIFO).

• Monitor environmental controls to ensure effectiveness based on material storage requirements.

• Actively develop and grow the workforce, ensuring team members are engaged and meeting performance expectations.

• Adapt team operations to align with the dynamic needs of the organization as it continues to innovate.

• Review and approve employee timekeeping records.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in materials management, supply chain, or production/manufacturing; or 6+ years of relevant experience.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or a related technical field.

• Completion of a leadership or rotational development program.

• APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP).

• Lean/6-Sigma experience (Green/Black Belt certifications).

• Strong communication and team-building abilities.

• Highly organized and self-motivated, capable of working independently.

• Experience in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

• Background in aerospace, aviation, or automotive manufacturing.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, SQL, and PowerBI.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and perform various physical tasks as required.

• Willingness to work extended hours, including nights and weekends.

• Capability to operate forklift equipment and work at heights (up to 20 feet).

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

• Salary Range: $95,000 - $115,000 annually.

Your actual salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

In addition to base salary, you may be eligible for long-term incentives, discretionary bonuses, and stock purchase options, along with comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, a 401(k) retirement plan, and various other benefits.
