Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the treatment and operation of water collection, storage, treatment, and distribution systems, including wells, tanks, valves, pumps, and chemical injection systems.
  • Conduct reviews of Task Hazard Assessments (THAs) prior to undertaking duties and adhere to Safety Data Sheet guidelines for hazardous materials.
  • Ensure compliance with state permits and collect samples in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Compile necessary reports to maintain adherence to drinking water and wastewater standards.
  • Collaborate with other trades to meet specifications and complete projects efficiently.
  • Ensure all water and waste systems are installed, repaired, and maintained according to building codes.
  • Maintain accurate records of time and materials used for job completion.
  • Interpret blueprints and specifications to determine layout for water infrastructure.
  • Work under general supervision, following preventive maintenance plans and work orders.
  • Train and develop subordinate staff, estimate personnel needs, assign tasks, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Adhere to established safety procedures in all work performed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or naturalized citizen eligible for site access.
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to secure the necessary government security clearance.
  • Must possess Treatment 4, Distribution 2, Wastewater 1 certifications, and Backflow Tester Certification.
  • Willingness to work overtime and varying shifts is required.
  • Must be able to operate material handling equipment.
  • Good attendance and compliance with procedural standards are essential.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Education from a four-year trade school or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge and previous supervisory experience in water management are advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in office software are desired.
  • Ability to maintain all certifications through Amentum's Master Training Plan.
