HOSPITALITY SUPERVISOR - TEMPORARY ROLE
The Hospitality Supervisor is a pivotal leadership position responsible for, but not limited to, overseeing staff, managing guest services, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining quality standards across various food service venues. This individual collaborates closely with Hospitality management to effectively delegate responsibilities, monitor service efficiency, enhance customer interactions, and serve as the primary contact in the absence of a supervisor or manager. Additionally, they are tasked with maintaining the cleanliness of dining areas and addressing customer concerns directly at the point of service. The Supervisor is versatile across all service outlets and possesses the capability to troubleshoot equipment issues, resolve problems, and communicate effectively.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the team in meeting established time and quality benchmarks set by management.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date record-keeping logs.
- Oversee staff rotations, breaks, and daily responsibilities.
- Collaborate with hospitality management to plan services, provide performance feedback, and facilitate conflict resolution.
- Step in at workstations as required.
- Monitor the quality and consistency of food offerings at the point of service.
- Ensure the cleanliness of service equipment and dining areas.
- Facilitate effective communication of operational needs between staff and management.
- Support the training of all hospitality roles and responsibilities.
- Enforce proper food safety protocols among staff.
- Encourage ongoing staff development.
POSITION DETAILS:
This is a temporary role with SpaceX, subject to change based on business requirements.
- DURATION: 3 months (potential for permanent hire based on performance and business needs)
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of industry experience with at least 1 year in a leadership capacity.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Strong skills in people management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- 7+ years of experience in food service within a customer service role.
- 3+ years of leadership experience.
- Experience in large team environments.
- Background in corporate settings.
- Experience in high-volume operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Availability to work all shifts, including overtime and weekends as necessary.
- Ability to lift heavy items unassisted (up to 25 lbs).
- Able to stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours a day).
- Capable of frequent bending, stooping, and lifting.
- Participation in internal leadership and development training is required.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a manager-level food safety certification.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range:
Level 2: $22.50/hour + $2.00/hour lead differential.
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is just one component of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and will have access to comprehensive medical coverage, a 401(k) retirement plan, and various other discounts and perks. Additionally, you will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays each year.
