Project Coordination Specialist Job Details:
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM
  • Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000
The Project Coordination Specialist, a proficient task leader, utilizes extensive understanding of financial principles, contract oversight, and operational protocols to manage ship service contract initiatives. Collaborating closely with the program manager under general supervision, this role oversees moderately complex contracts valued between $5 and $20 million. Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage regularly with various levels of operations, senior staff, clients, regulatory agencies, and key suppliers.
  • Assist the Service Department in preparing precise quotations for diverse programs.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of service quotes.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding the status of submitted quotes.
  • Process contracts and orders received in response to service quotes.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the quoted work to effectively address client inquiries.
  • Verify that all contract deliverables are completed prior to project closure.
  • Participate in regular meetings with other departments to facilitate effective information exchange, provide program guidance, and obtain contract status updates.
  • Attend necessary meetings to contribute to the resolution of project-related issues.
  • Communicate with program clients to provide updates on project status and resolve issues related to scheduling, technical compliance, and service clarifications.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; or three to five years of relevant experience or training; or a combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in project leadership.
  • Preferred: Three years of experience in U.S. government contracting.
  • Familiarity with NAVSEA Standard Items and knowledge of ABS and USCG regulations is advantageous.
  • Current PMP certification is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with Sage accounting software is highly desirable.
