Program Management Associate

Core Responsibilities:
The Program Management Associate plays a pivotal role in overseeing ship service contracts, leveraging extensive knowledge of financial and business principles, contract oversight, and operational protocols. This position collaborates closely with the Program Manager, operating under general supervision from higher management. Mistakes at this level can lead to significant operational setbacks and financial implications.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Project and Excel.
- Maintains a professional demeanor at all times.
- Exhibits excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Capable of working in challenging environments, including onboard vessels.
- Regularly required to engage in physical activities such as standing, reaching, climbing, and maneuvering in confined spaces.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; or three to five years of relevant experience or training; or a combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of three years in project leadership roles.
- Preferred: Three years of experience in government contracting.
- Familiarity with Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) standards and knowledge of American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) regulations.
- Desirable: Current PMP certification.
Primary Duties:
- Engages regularly with various levels of Fincantieri Marine Systems operations, senior management, clients, regulatory authorities, and key suppliers.
- Assists the Service Department in preparing precise quotations for diverse Fincantieri Marine Systems programs.
- Ensures timely and accurate submission of service quotes.
- Maintains regular communication with clients regarding the status of submitted quotes.
- Processes contracts and orders resulting from submitted service quotes.
- Develops a comprehensive understanding of quoted work to effectively address client inquiries.
- Ensures all contractual deliverables are met prior to project closure.
- Participates in regular meetings with other departments to facilitate effective communication, provide program guidance, and obtain project status updates.
- Attends necessary meetings to assist in resolving project-related issues.
- Communicates with program clients to provide updates and resolve issues related to scheduling, technical compliance, and service clarifications.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
