Position Overview:

The Assistant Program Manager serves as a key contributor in overseeing ship service contract initiatives. This role requires a solid grasp of financial principles, business operations, and contract oversight to facilitate the successful execution of various projects. Working closely with the Program Manager, the individual will help maintain management control systems, develop financial strategies, and identify potential risks to ensure project delivery.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Engage with diverse stakeholders, clients, and suppliers on a regular basis.
  • Assist in generating precise quotations and guarantee timely submissions.
  • Effectively manage contract orders and associated deliverables.
  • Participate in discussions to resolve project-related challenges.
  • Provide updates on project status and address client inquiries.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Preferred bachelor's degree.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Background in government contracting and project management.
  • PMP certification is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of NAVSEA, ABS, and USCG regulations.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and time management abilities.
  • Capability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
