Job Overview

Position Summary:
Envision Motors of Milpitas is in search of a skilled Pre-Owned Vehicle Technician to enhance our service team. This role is essential in ensuring the quality and reliability of the used vehicles we service.

As a full-time technician, your primary responsibilities will include diagnosing and executing repairs on a variety of pre-owned vehicles that come into our service department.

We are looking for a dedicated professional who possesses a strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and a genuine enthusiasm for the automotive field.

Compensation & Benefits:
This role is a full-time position with a competitive hourly wage ranging from $32 to $40, compensated on a semi-monthly basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical problems in pre-owned vehicles
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to effectively identify and resolve issues
  • Interact with service advisors and customers to clarify repairs and recommendations
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace
  • Follow dealership and manufacturer safety guidelines and protocols

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience as an automotive technician, ideally in a dealership environment
  • Possession of personal tools is required
  • Comprehensive understanding of automotive systems and components
  • Capability to interpret and adhere to technical manuals and diagrams
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and remain standing for extended periods
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening
