Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Milpitas, CA. This role requires working onsite and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize mechanical systems for various applications. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in mechanical design, prototyping, and CAD software, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design mechanical components and systems based on project requirements.
  • Create detailed technical drawings and 3D models using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools).
  • Perform simulations and testing to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and durability standards.
  • Collaborate with electrical and manufacturing engineers to integrate mechanical designs into larger systems.
  • Troubleshoot and modify designs as needed throughout the development process.
  • Conduct material selection and analysis for design optimization.
  • Prepare and present design reviews and technical documentation.
  • Support the prototyping and validation of new designs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in mechanical design, with expertise in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in thermal and structural analysis is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools.
  • Knowledge of electronics packaging and system integration.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and compliance regulations.

Contract Details:

Contract duration: 6-12 months (with potential for extension)

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate (based on experience)
