Group/Division
The Global Products Group (GPG) at KLA is responsible for creating all metrology and inspection products. With over 40 years of experience, KLA is trusted by chipmakers globally to enhance production efficiency. The RAPID division leads in providing reticle inspection solutions, ensuring high lithography yields for cost-effective manufacturing.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
The RAPID division is at the forefront of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. This role is ideal for an early to mid-career mechanical design engineer who will support the development of advanced opto-mechanical inspection systems. The selected candidate will engage in various aspects of the design process, including:

  • Creating innovative designs that integrate precision mechanisms, Ultra High Vacuum systems, and electronic packaging.
  • Conducting tolerance analysis and understanding GD&T principles.
  • Utilizing finite element analysis and performing thermal analysis.
  • Building relationships with vendors for component fabrication and manufacturing processes.
  • Selecting appropriate materials and resolving fabrication methods.
  • Collaborating effectively with engineering, manufacturing, and product introduction teams.
  • Demonstrating a solid understanding of physics and mechanics.
  • Engaging in mechanical design, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Exhibiting excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Being proficient in 3D solid modeling CAD, preferably ProE/Creo.
Minimum Qualifications
A Master's Degree with no experience or a Bachelor's Degree with two years of industry experience is required.
