Johnson Service Group is seeking several Mechanical Assembly Technicians to join our team. This role is essential for a contract manufacturing organization and requires individuals with a background in mechanical assembly. The position is for the Swing Shift.
Compensation: $18 - $20 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform crimping, wire stripping, and cabling tasks.
- Rework and repair of client products as necessary.
- Utilize power and hand tools, including torque drivers.
- Conduct assembly work under a microscope when required.
- Experience with medical assembly standards is advantageous.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in wire stripping and crimping.
- Ability to interpret schematic drawings and understand color codes and component identification.
- Experience in board-level mechanical and system-level assembly.
- Demonstrated manual dexterity and mechanical assembly skills, including hardware components.
- Effective communication skills and ability to adhere to manufacturing process instructions.
- Familiarity with mechanical assembly, electronic sub-assemblies, and system integration is a plus.
- Knowledge of box build processes and electronic sub-assemblies.
- Capability to lift weights between 15-30 pounds.
- Experience with PCB assembly.
- Soldering skills are a plus.
- Ability to perform touch-up and rework on through-hole and SMT boards is beneficial.
- Competency in PC-based software, including SAP and Microsoft Office Suite, with at least basic knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel.
- Understanding of ISO procedures and the ability to maintain quality records and execute ISO activities.
- Completion of work center-specific training on tools, equipment, and processes.
