Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Buyer - Procurement Specialist to join our team at Merits Health Products. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchasing and Procurement: Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet organizational goals and objectives.
  • Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
  • Inventory Control: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate forecasting and planning of products to meet organizational budget and inventory turns.
  • Logistics and Supply Chain: Plan and coordinate the movement of goods from suppliers to distribution facilities.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Process necessary international documents for shipments and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent and five (5) years of experience in inventory control, purchasing, logistics, or a related field, with three (3) recent years of leadership/supervisory experience.
  • Leadership and Supervisory Skills: Proven ability to motivate, train, and coach team members.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from employees, managers, vendors, and the public.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems, such as Epicor or NetSuite, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to safely perform all essential duties and responsibilities, with manual dexterity, good physical condition, and strength.
