Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive business development efforts, including acquiring new clients and maintaining relationships with existing ones, leading proposal submissions, and executing a strategic business development plan.
  • Oversee project management tasks, ensuring effective planning and execution of investigation and remediation projects, budget adherence, timeline management, quality assurance, client satisfaction, and profitability.
  • Mentor junior staff and manage subcontractors effectively.
  • Develop work plans, conduct data evaluations, and prepare detailed reports.
  • Perform data analysis, including the creation of maps and figures utilizing GIS and Environmental Visualization Software (EVS) applications, alongside database management.
  • Draft technical documents, including reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
  • Review and oversee the production of written documents.
  • Prepare for and engage in meetings with clients, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct fieldwork, including multi-media environmental sampling, sediment characterization, drilling oversight, contractor management, and remediation system operations.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary project teams to ensure project success.
  • Enhance our industry reputation through publications and participation in prominent conferences.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, or a related discipline (required).
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field (preferred).
  • Professional registration (e.g., P.G. or P.E.) (preferred).

Experience and Skills:

  • A minimum of 7 years of direct experience in environmental consulting within the Pacific Northwest region, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (required).
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary project teams (required).
  • Proven track record in client development and management (required).
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities (required).
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic consulting environment, managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and traveling as necessary (required).
  • Previous research experience in contaminated media or remediation technologies (preferred).
  • Field experience in sediment sampling, porewater sampling, well installation oversight, soil sampling, groundwater sampling, and other relevant techniques (preferred).
  • Active involvement in professional associations or trade organizations (preferred).
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing environmental remediation (preferred).
  • Fieldwork and travel may be required.
  • Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training and refreshers (preferred).
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be necessary.
  • A valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required).
