Your Role
We are currently seeking a seasoned Lead Environmental Sediment Specialist with extensive technical expertise to spearhead high-profile sediment remediation initiatives across various regions. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in managing the investigation, remediation, and restoration of contaminated sediment sites, employing best practices and innovative technologies.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee assessments, feasibility studies, and remedial designs for complex sediment remediation projects in diverse environments.
- Conduct work in compliance with regulatory frameworks and environmental standards.
- Plan and direct environmental sampling initiatives, ensuring the effective evaluation of laboratory data.
- Develop and refine conceptual site models and conduct treatability studies to assess remediation options.
- Implement innovative solutions for sediment remediation and engage in regular communication with clients and regulatory bodies regarding project management and technical matters.
- Create detailed remedial design plans and oversee construction management and quality assurance processes.
- Provide training and leadership to junior staff in sediment remediation practices.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive project solutions.
- Participate in business development efforts to expand our client base and project portfolio.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, geology, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Office 365 applications.
  • 15+ years of experience in environmental consulting or regulatory roles focused on sediment remediation.
  • Ability to lift and handle equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) certification in relevant states.
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
  • Experience with drafting and geospatial design tools.
  • Fieldwork experience in environmental assessments and remediation.
