Position Summary
We are in search of a Certified Respiratory Care Specialist to join our team, ensuring that we maintain high standards of quality and efficient care for all patients.

Key Responsibilities
As a Certified Respiratory Care Specialist, you will be responsible for executing critical care and diagnostic procedures essential for diagnosing and treating cardiopulmonary conditions across various age groups.

Your duties will include:

  • Performing routine maintenance on respiratory equipment and ensuring quality control.
  • Setting up and operating diverse respiratory care apparatus.
  • Conducting technical procedures related to cardiopulmonary hemodynamics.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in airway management.
  • Assessing patients accurately, interpreting results, and recommending alternative respiratory therapies.
  • Exhibiting competence in routine patient evaluations and recognizing respiratory dysfunction.
  • Acting as a respiratory care protocol assessor by delivering therapy and timely reassessments while maintaining precise documentation.
  • Regularly communicating with physicians and nursing staff regarding patient care plans and updates.

Qualifications
Experience:
Preferred experience in an acute care hospital setting.

Education:
Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program recognized by the American Medical Association.

Licenses and Certifications:
Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
Current Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification for NICU staff.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification for ICU staff.
