We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at St. David's Medical Center. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the well-being of our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform patient assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
- Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy.
- Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
- Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor patient response to therapy and notify providers as necessary.
- Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients and respond to emergent patient situations.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within 1 year of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
- State Registered Respiratory Therapist certification.
- RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT/RCP) certification.
- Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
