In your role as a Trauma Care Unit Nursing Specialist, you will:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments upon admission.
- Develop and implement comprehensive care plans, including discharge strategies, and adjust these plans based on patient responses to treatment.
- Document nursing interventions and patient outcomes accurately.
- Provide educational resources to patients and their families regarding care and treatment options.
- Administer medications and perform treatments in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Review and ensure the accurate execution of physician orders, coordinating with other departments as necessary.
- Deliver precise and relevant patient information to the Nurse Leader and incoming shifts to maintain continuity of care.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Experience in an acute care environment is preferred.
- Background in adult intensive care or intermediate care units is advantageous.
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License.
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Certification is preferred.
