Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, including rotating weekends and holidays.

Role Overview:
The Medical Laboratory Scientist II is responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests in designated areas as licensed or certified. This role typically involves analytical testing of blood and other human biological specimens, requiring a moderate to high level of theoretical and practical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
- Execute laboratory procedures with precision and adhere to established policies and quality control practices.
- Engage in outstanding customer service and maintain respectful relationships with all stakeholders.
- Participate in pre-analytical and post-analytical processes, which may include equipment maintenance, specimen collection, and reporting results.

Qualifications:
Licensure and Certification:
- Must possess laboratory licensure in the appropriate specialty for the state of employment or hold a national certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist.

Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or a related field is required.
- Preferred: Two years of relevant technical experience.

Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to work independently and manage varying priorities.
- Proficient in maintaining laboratory equipment and performing quality assessments.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

Contribution to the Team:
- Conduct pre-analytical activities including equipment checks and inventory management.
- Perform all required tests accurately and efficiently, adhering to institutional standards.
- Provide training and guidance to new staff and students, ensuring compliance with safety and quality protocols.
