Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, including rotating weekends and holidays.
Role Overview:
The Medical Laboratory Scientist II is responsible for conducting a variety of laboratory tests in designated areas, as licensed or certified. This role involves analytical testing of blood and other human biological specimens, requiring a solid understanding of both theoretical and practical knowledge in the relevant licensed areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute pre-analytical and post-analytical processes as part of routine laboratory duties.
- Adhere to laboratory policies and maintain quality control practices.
- Engage in outstanding customer service and foster respectful relationships.
Qualifications:
Licensure and Certification:
- In licensure states, appropriate laboratory licensure is required.
- In non-licensure states, national certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist is necessary.
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or related fields is required.
- Preferred: Two years of relevant technical experience.
Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to work independently and manage varying priorities.
- Proficient in laboratory testing procedures and quality assessment activities.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
