Your Role:
The Medical Laboratory Scientist II is responsible for conducting a variety of laboratory tests in designated areas, utilizing your licensure and certification.

This role demands a high level of theoretical knowledge and practical expertise in laboratory testing of blood and other biological specimens.

You will also engage in pre-analytical and post-analytical processes, ensuring adherence to laboratory policies and quality control standards while fostering respectful relationships with all stakeholders.

Qualifications Required:
Licensure and Certification:
- Laboratory Licensure in relevant specialties (if applicable)
- National certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist (if in non-licensure states)

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory sciences, or related fields

Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years of relevant technical experience
- Proficiency in laboratory testing procedures
- Ability to work independently and manage workflow effectively
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office

Your Contributions:
- Execute pre-analytical tasks, including equipment maintenance and specimen processing
- Conduct all laboratory tests accurately and efficiently, adhering to established protocols
- Provide training and orientation to new staff and students
- Support customer service initiatives and resolve issues effectively
- Follow safety protocols and maintain compliance with regulatory standards
- Participate in performance improvement activities and assist with data collection as needed
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development
