Day (Saturday and Sunday) 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Role Overview:
The Medical Laboratory Scientist II is responsible for conducting a variety of laboratory tests in designated areas as licensed/certified. This role typically involves analytical testing of blood and/or human biological specimens, requiring a moderate to high level of theoretical and practical expertise in the relevant licensed areas. Depending on the department, various pre-and post-analytical tasks may also be part of the responsibilities. On-call hours may be necessary. Adherence to laboratory policies and quality control practices is essential. This position actively engages in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining respectful relationships with all stakeholders.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
  • In licensure states, appropriate laboratory licensure in specialty areas for the department or location assignment as applicable to state regulations - OR -
  • In non-licensure states, a national certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist (e.g., ASCP, AAB, or AMT) is required unless otherwise specified by state requirements.

Education and Experience:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory sciences, or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two years of relevant technical experience.
  • Proficient technical skills related to laboratory testing and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and manage varying priorities.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
