Role Summary:

As the Vice President of Fund Accounting Operations, your primary responsibilities will include delivering exceptional service while adhering to the core principles of FSG. Your key duties will encompass:

  • Overseeing the accounting, investor reporting, audit, and tax outputs for private investment funds.
  • Collaborating with fund administrators and auditors to streamline the investor reporting workflow.
  • Evaluating the accounting and reporting deliverables prepared by fund administrators.
  • Coordinating investment and operational transactions for private funds.
  • Reviewing accounting and investment data within regulatory filings such as 13-F and Form ADV.
  • Assisting in compliance monitoring activities that require accounting insights or analysis.
  • Mentoring junior team members through daily support in task prioritization, project execution, and problem resolution.

Candidate Requirements:

We seek applicants who meet the following criteria:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory capacity (1-3 years).
  • 4-5 years of experience in private equity, hedge fund, or private fund accounting.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and a foundational knowledge of tax concepts relevant to private funds.
  • Familiarity with key concepts such as fee calculations, capital activities, and operational best practices.
  • A collaborative mindset with a strong work ethic.
  • A quick learner who can absorb information thoroughly and enthusiastically.
  • Exceptional organizational and written communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • A comprehensive benefits package.
  • A competitive base salary aligned with experience and performance, with a range of $115,000 to $150,000.
  • A quarterly bonus structure that allows for unlimited growth potential, sharing one-third of our profits with the team each quarter.

While we primarily operate as a remote work organization, certain training aspects may be best conducted in person at client sites or local coworking spaces. We can discuss any in-person training or support requirements during the interview process.
