Position Overview:


DT Professional Services is in search of a Senior Proposal Coordinator to enhance our proactive Business Development team. This role entails managing complex information technology service proposals directed towards federal government entities.

The selected candidate will collaborate with designated business units or functional areas, utilizing their expertise to facilitate the compilation of information necessary for proposal submissions.

The Senior Proposal Coordinator will oversee the development and preparation of company proposals, ensuring compliance with RFI/RFQ/RFP/Solicitation guidelines in a timely and precise manner.

The responsibilities include leading medium to large proposal development teams, being accountable for proposal production timelines, crafting proposal volumes and documentation, coordinating tasks across various departments, and managing all assigned activities.

This role is expected to mentor junior proposal coordinators in best practices for federal agency proposal development.


The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating adaptability to shifting priorities while supporting capture managers, fellow proposal coordinators, and executives.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple simultaneous proposal development projects are essential. The candidate should deliver measurable outcomes consistently and be capable of working independently in a remote setting.

Candidates must be eligible to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage project plans and action items for team members and subcontractors in the execution of data calls and proposal development.

Establish schedules for proposal development and reviews covering technical, personnel, past performance, and pricing proposal volumes.

Compose and draft additional requirements necessary for proposal submissions.

Oversee the development and writing of responses for SSN and RFI inquiries.

Create response templates in alignment with SSN, RFI, RFP, and solicitation guidelines.

Formulate labor category qualification matrices and staffing plan requirements in accordance with RFP/solicitation specifications.

Draft staffing requisitions and labor category descriptions per key personnel labor category requirements.

Prepare and write resumes for both key and non-key personnel required for proposal submissions.

Compile and write past performance and previous contract experience sections needed for proposals.

Develop and articulate management approach plan responses for proposal submissions.

Construct and write IT services technical approach responses for proposal submissions.

Essential Qualifications:
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD issued Secret Clearance.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Finance, Journalism, English, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in proposal management and/or development for federal agencies, or 10+ years of experience in proposal management and/or development for commercial clients and federal agencies without a Bachelor's degree.

5+ years of experience in DoD and Federal Government proposal coordination, production, and management.

5+ years of demonstrated experience leading medium to large teams, including subcontractors, in a collaborative proposal development environment.

5+ years of experience supporting Federal Agency IDIQ/BPA contract vehicles and/or multiple award contracts (MACs).

5+ years of experience collaborating with pricing analysts to create and validate all submissions for various pricing models.

3+ years of experience within an IT services company (e.g., software development, systems engineering, etc.).

3+ years of experience in proposal management and other business development leadership roles.

3+ years of experience and knowledge of business development and capture pursuit activities.

Ability to manage multiple concurrent work requirements effectively, including simultaneous proposal efforts.

Proficiency in Google Suite (Google Mail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Drive).

Proficiency in MS Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint).

Exceptional project management skills.

Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.

Excellent writing skills.

A positive attitude with a strong commitment to professional development.

Preferred Qualifications:
Prior proposal management training or certification from the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) and/or Shipley Associates.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Previous experience in developing DoD and Federal Agency proposal pricing submissions.
