Project Coordination Specialist Job Details:
  • Work Schedule: 7 AM - 4 PM, Monday to Friday
  • Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000
The Project Coordination Specialist, an adept task leader, utilizes extensive knowledge of financial principles, contract oversight, and operational practices to manage ship service contract programs. Collaborating closely with the program manager under general management supervision, this role oversees moderately complex contracts valued between $5 million and $20 million. Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in regular communication with all levels of operations, senior staff, clients, regulatory agencies, and major suppliers.
  • Assist the Service Department in preparing precise quotations for various programs.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of service quotes.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on submitted quotes.
  • Process contracts and orders received in response to service quotes.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the work being quoted to effectively address client inquiries.
  • Verify that all contract deliverables are completed prior to project closure.
  • Participate in regular meetings with other departments to ensure effective information exchange, provide program guidance, and track program/contract status.
  • Attend necessary meetings to contribute to the resolution of project-related issues.
  • Communicate with program clients to provide project updates and resolve issues related to scheduling, technical compliance, and service clarifications.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent; or three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in project leadership.
  • Preferred: Three (3) years of experience in U.S. government contracting.
  • Familiarity with Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Standard Items and knowledge of American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) regulations.
  • Not mandatory but highly desirable: current PMP certification.
  • Experience with Sage (Accounting software) is a significant advantage.
