Job Summary

Concessions International is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, the Human Resources Manager will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and support to our operations management team to ensure the effective management of our human resources functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement human resources strategies and programs to support the achievement of business objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support to operations management team on human resources-related matters, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and labor relations.
  • Manage and maintain effective labor relations in union operations through relationship management.
  • Oversee and conduct investigations and make recommendations based on outcome, ensuring compliance with Company policies and practices and local, state, and federal guidelines on employment-related matters.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Support the development of written employee communications, including employee handbooks and new hire orientation materials.
  • Evaluate reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals and recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to affect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Ensure training needs for all employees are being met and are consistent with company standards.
  • Coordinate benefits communication and confirm eligibility, communicate notices, track absences to ensure documentation is complete and compliant.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of Human Resource records including personnel files, benefit enrollment forms, E-Verify and I-9 documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in field at a management level with substantial responsibility for employee relations, recruiting, safety, labor and union relations, benefits, and general HR administration.
  • PHR and/or SHRM-SCP preferred; experience in union environment strongly preferred.
  • Current knowledge of employment laws including federal, state, and local, with the ability to handle situations related to these laws.
  • Thorough knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to maintain positive of union relations.
  • Proactive in identifying and addressing needs of department and other internal customers, providing solutions which are timely and effective.
  • Approachable demeanor with advanced verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels, customers and/or others as required.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Suite, UltiPro (HRIS/Payroll software), ability to build and run queries, ability to prepare letters, spreadsheets, presentations, and/or other documents as required. Ability to enter data with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, internal customers, and the public.
  • Ability to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be detail oriented and organized.
  • Strong analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills; ability to resolve conflict and deliver results.
  • Strong interpersonal, team building and leadership skills; ability to collaborate and work effectively with others.
  • Demonstrated ability in employee development.

Compensation

$95,000 - $110,000 DOE

Work Environment

Regular, on-site attendance is required

Work is primarily in a climate-controlled office building or airport facility with moderate noise level.

Travel may be required
