Senior Vice President Human Resources

Ryan Companies is in search of a strategic and innovative Senior Vice President of Human Resources to enhance our executive leadership team. This pivotal role reports directly to the Chief People and Legal Officer and is essential in synchronizing HR functions with the broader business strategies and goals of the organization. The individual will oversee three critical divisions: Human Resource Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and Human Resources Operations. The ideal candidate will collaborate effectively with senior executives, regional leaders, and key stakeholders to propel strategic HR initiatives that boost organizational performance, employee satisfaction, and talent development.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Oversight:

  1. Formulate and execute HR strategies that resonate with the long-term business vision, driving overall success.
  2. Provide transformative leadership to the HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and HR Operations divisions.
  3. Engage with senior leaders to comprehend and address their operational needs through innovative HR solutions.
  4. Act as a trusted strategic consultant to executive leadership on intricate HR issues.

HR Business Partners:

  • Lead and mentor a team of HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to deliver comprehensive HR services across the organization.
  • Continuously enhance the capabilities of the HRBP team to serve as a valued strategic advisor to business leaders.
  • Guide the HR Business Partner team in providing proactive and strategic HR support to organizational leaders.
  • Ensure adherence to HR policies and procedures, maintaining compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate on initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement, retention, and professional development.
  • Adopt a holistic approach to talent management focusing on development, performance evaluation, workforce planning, and talent retention.
  • Offer coaching and guidance to leaders and managers regarding performance management and employee development.
  • Work with business leaders to assess current and future needs, evaluating talent readiness for key roles.

Talent Acquisition:

  • Oversee and support the Talent Acquisition team, enhancing its ability to attract, hire, and retain top-tier talent.
  • Ensure the recruitment process is efficient, effective, and aligned with the organization's diversity and inclusion objectives.
  • Partner with leaders to create employer branding strategies that bolster the company's reputation as a preferred employer.

HR Operations:

  • Manage and support the HR Operations team, facilitating the strategic evolution of HR operations in alignment with business objectives.
  • Utilize internal and external data, trends, and analytics to identify talent gaps, forecast resource needs, and prioritize talent risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the HR Operations team to monitor and analyze HR metrics, identifying trends and areas for enhancement.
  • Work with the HR Operations team to streamline HR processes, leveraging technology where beneficial.

Culture and Employee Experience:

  • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture that reflects Ryan's core values and mission.
  • Advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives throughout the organization.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required.
  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience leading large, multi-state HR teams is essential.
  • High ethical standards and a commitment to confidentiality are mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree.
  • Professional HR certifications (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP, etc.).
  • Experience in talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, and organizational development.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels.

Compensation:

The annual salary range is $215,000 – $290,000. The salary may vary within this range based on factors such as the position's location and the selected candidate's expertise and qualifications. The position may also be eligible for additional compensation, including an incentive program.
