Overview:
As a Front Desk Agent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for our guests during their arrival and departure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests warmly with a friendly demeanor, utilizing clear communication to understand their needs and provide accurate information about hotel services and local attractions.
  • Facilitate the registration process by entering and retrieving guest information in our computer system, confirming details such as guest count and room rates, and promoting our brand's offerings.
  • Handle financial transactions with precision, including credit card verification, cash handling, and processing various forms of payment while maintaining an accurate house bank.
  • Respond promptly to telephone inquiries, taking messages and ensuring effective communication of information to guests.
  • Manage guest check-out processes, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any concerns that may arise.
  • Address guest complaints with thorough research and effective problem-solving skills, demonstrating patience and diplomacy.
  • Maintain composure during busy periods and emergency situations, utilizing sound judgment and discretion.
  • Adhere to attendance policies and be available for regular shifts.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support hotel operations.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a college degree is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a hotel setting is advantageous.
  • Strong mathematical skills for accurate financial transactions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively interact with guests and resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to remain mobile and perform essential functions throughout the front office.
  • Proficiency in using a computer system for data entry and information retrieval.
  • Awareness of emergency situations and the ability to respond appropriately.
  • Capacity to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and guests.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to various audiences.
