Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Front Desk Agent to become an integral part of our esteemed establishment, Chatham Bars Inn, recognized as a Forbes Travel Guide Five Star Hotel. Situated on the picturesque Cape Cod, our hotel boasts 25 oceanfront acres, 217 luxurious rooms and suites, and a variety of recreational facilities including five dining options, a private beach, and a full-service spa.

The primary responsibility of the Front Desk Agent is to deliver exceptional guest service while ensuring the seamless execution of the check-in and check-out processes. This role encompasses a variety of tasks, including managing room keys, processing wake-up call requests, providing directions, and addressing all guest inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer accurate room rate quotes and actively promote upgrades to enhance guest experiences.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Housekeeping Department to ensure smooth operations.
  • Confirm that all charges are accurately reflected on the guest's account.
  • Process payments for guest charges efficiently.
  • Maintain accountability for cash and cash equivalents, ensuring balanced transactions at the start and end of each shift.
  • Handle incoming phone calls, providing knowledgeable assistance to callers.
  • Support management and staff with administrative and reception tasks.
  • Welcome guests with a warm smile and use their names to create a personal connection.
  • Address and resolve guest complaints within the scope of authority, escalating issues to management when necessary.
  • Register guests and assign appropriate accommodations.
  • Uphold a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
