Overview:

The individual in this role will engage in a variety of teller and customer service responsibilities as required. This position demands a high level of proficiency in executing teller transactions and performing essential customer service tasks, including the establishment of standard checking, savings, and certificate of deposit accounts, as well as processing account modifications.

Working within established protocols, policies, and procedures, the incumbent will promote and manage all deposit accounts, address various customer inquiries, and ensure prompt resolution of issues. A solid understanding of the bank's diverse deposit and electronic banking offerings is essential. Utilizing needs-based sales techniques, the representative will identify referral opportunities and suggest suitable products and services to fulfill customer requirements.

Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience in teller or customer service roles within a banking branch or call center environment.
  • Exceptional sales, service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Able to interact effectively with a diverse range of individuals in a collaborative team setting.
  • Strong organizational, technical, and computer proficiency.
  • Ability to adapt to changes and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of teller and customer service operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Basic understanding of banking products and services, with a willingness to learn more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in processing various teller transactions and routine customer service functions.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and respond to customer inquiries with appropriate product recommendations.
  • Assist in opening basic deposit accounts, addressing electronic banking inquiries, and completing account maintenance.
  • Maintain and accurately balance a cash drawer.
  • Deliver a high standard of service to customers, colleagues, and team members.
  • Understand and adhere to relevant policies, guidelines, and procedures, including security and compliance measures.
  • Engage in ongoing training related to sales, service, compliance, and product knowledge.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
