Overview:

The individual in this role will engage in a range of teller and customer service responsibilities as required. The incumbent will demonstrate a high level of proficiency in executing teller transactions and will competently manage basic customer service tasks, including the establishment of standard checking, savings, and certificate of deposit accounts, as well as processing account maintenance requests.

Operating within established protocols, policies, and procedures, the individual will effectively sell and service all deposit accounts, address various customer inquiries, and ensure prompt resolution of issues. A robust understanding of the bank's diverse deposit and electronic banking offerings is essential. Utilizing needs-based sales techniques, the incumbent will identify referral opportunities and suggest suitable products and services tailored to customer needs.

Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience in teller or customer service roles within a banking branch or call center environment.
  • Exceptional sales, service, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to interact positively with a diverse range of individuals in a collaborative team setting.
  • Strong organizational, technical, and computer skills.
  • Adaptability to change and capability to effectively manage multiple tasks.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of teller and customer service processes, policies, and guidelines.
  • Solid understanding of banking products and services, with a willingness for further development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit high proficiency in processing various teller transactions and routine customer service functions.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and respond to customer inquiries with appropriate product recommendations.
  • Facilitate the opening of basic deposit accounts, assist with electronic banking inquiries, and perform account maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain and accurately balance a cash drawer.
  • Deliver exemplary service to customers, colleagues, and team members.
  • Comprehend and adhere to various policies, guidelines, and procedures, including security, compliance, and operational standards.
  • Engage in ongoing job-related training programs, covering sales, service, compliance, and product knowledge.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.
