Overview:

The individual in this role is responsible for executing a range of teller and customer service functions as required. The incumbent is expected to demonstrate a high level of proficiency in processing teller transactions and handling essential customer service tasks, including the establishment of standard checking, savings, and certificate of deposit accounts, as well as managing account maintenance requests.

Within the framework of established policies and procedures, the role involves selling and servicing all deposit accounts, addressing various customer inquiries, and providing effective problem resolution. A strong understanding of the bank's diverse deposit and electronic banking products and services is essential. By employing needs-based sales techniques, the individual will identify referral opportunities and suggest suitable products and services to fulfill customer requirements.

Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience in teller or customer service within a banking branch or call center.
  • Exceptional sales, service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Able to engage positively with diverse individuals and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong organizational, technical, and computer skills.
  • Adaptable to change and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of teller and customer service processes, policies, and guidelines.
  • Solid understanding of banking products and services, with potential for further development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in processing various teller transactions and routine customer service tasks.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and respond to customer inquiries with appropriate product recommendations.
  • Facilitate the opening of basic deposit accounts, assist with electronic banking inquiries, and perform account maintenance.
  • Maintain and accurately balance a cash drawer.
  • Deliver exceptional service to customers, colleagues, and team members.
  • Understand and adhere to relevant policies, guidelines, and procedures, including security and compliance.
  • Engage in ongoing training related to sales, service, compliance, and product knowledge.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
