Key Responsibilities:

  • Punctually arrive at job sites prepared for work
  • Coordinate the installation of fire alarm systems with site supervisors and other trades
  • Install conduits, raceways, and enclosures for fire alarm wiring and components, adhering to relevant codes and specifications
  • Utilize various hand tools, including drills and benders, for the installation and maintenance of fire alarm systems
  • Pull wiring, install, and terminate devices and control panels
  • Integrate fire alarm systems with building management and HVAC systems as required
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting of completed fire alarm systems prior to final inspections
  • Complete necessary documentation for task planning and equipment inspections
  • Ensure all fire alarm system components are installed neatly and professionally

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid fire alarm installer license in the respective state
  • A minimum of two years of experience in installing fire alarm and life safety systems
  • Familiarity with NFPA standards 70, 72, and 101
  • Proficient understanding of blueprints and ladder diagrams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
  • Electrical journeyman's license

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work on ladders, scaffolds, and manlifts
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces for short durations
  • Work environment may vary, including exposure to natural elements and confined areas
  • Standard workweeks consist of 8-10 hour days, Monday through Friday, with potential overtime as needed
  • Travel may be required based on project specifications
