Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee the annual maintenance and repair strategy and budget.
  • Ensure the facility is maintained in a safe, secure, and efficient manner.
  • Supervise the upkeep and repair of machinery, equipment, and both electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Initiate renovation requests and manage purchase orders.
  • Monitor facility maintenance and repair effectiveness.
  • Formulate and manage the annual investment strategy and budget.
  • Evaluate facility investment methodologies.
  • Review construction documents and implement minor modifications (P&ID, etc.).
  • Draft specifications for new construction and prepare construction documents for public distribution.
  • Solicit quotations for new facilities and manage construction purchase orders.
  • Oversee facility investment outcomes.
  • Assess and address facility repair requests received through the system.
  • Update and manage the facility operation manual.
  • Conduct inspections on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  • Diagnose facility irregularities and assess technology.
  • Compile reports on irregularities to maintain historical records (if necessary).
  • Plan initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Manage piping systems (air, water supply, etc.).
  • Analyze energy consumption trends for each piece of equipment.
  • Identify potential energy-saving opportunities by equipment.
  • Track monthly energy-saving performance (considering operating time).
  • Conduct and supervise operational safety inspections (PSV [safety valve], pressure vessel, & static pressure).
  • Create and maintain documentation required by PSM / ISO standards.
  • Implement corrective actions to enhance facility performance and rectify non-conformities as specified by PSM / ISO.
  • Oversee mechanical facility construction related to repairs, expansions, or production line changes.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to quickly analyze and resolve issues through root cause analysis and implement changes within production departments.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to adhering to plant processes and the Quality Operating System.
  • Proven ability to execute tasks effectively while managing multiple priorities.
  • Capability to serve as a confident technical mentor to both hourly and salaried production staff.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility to support any shift within a 7-day work schedule.
  • Willingness to travel significantly during the initial plant start-up phase.
  • Readiness to work remotely and on-site at temporary facilities as required during the initial plant start-up phase.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities with strong interpersonal, team-building, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in a relevant field.
  • Familiarity with utility equipment is preferred.
  • Gas boiler and NMP-related certifications are advantageous.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Shift: Rotating shifts (with a high likelihood of rotating shifts, utilizing a 12-hour shift model). This entails working 3 days ON and 2 days OFF, allowing for 2 full weekends off.

Travel: Flexibility for significant travel (10-25%) is required, particularly during training. Post-training, travel will be primarily domestic (less than 15%).

Relocation: A comprehensive relocation package will be provided.
